If you have been watching the news over the last two years, you no doubt are felling stress about your credit card debt payments. It is apparent that millions of Americans are worried over the fact that they can’t pay their credit card debt payment. This stress people are filling is not only affecting relationships, but their physical health. This stress caused by the debt that we have accumulated is causing people to loose sleep, disregard our health, and in some extremes, we are trying to cope by taking products to let us forget for a short while.

Now I don’t want you to think things are hopeless, as there are several things you can to alleviate some of the stress you may be felling.

Physical exercise will help with stress. 30 minutes a day, 3 to 5 days a week, will reduce the stress you feel and allow you to get a good night sleep. If you are mentally alert and physically healthy, you can deal with the stress of debt. If you don’t take care of yourself physically, stress will wear you down over time, which will prevent you body from fighting off illness.

Another way of dealing with the stress you feel from debt is to “Deal with the Debt.” The truth is most people who are living paycheck to paycheck because of debt, but don’t have any idea of how to deal with it. These types of people put their heads in the sand and think if they don’t see it, then it is not a problem. When the truth is that even though they avoid looking at their finances, they still think about the debt, which in turn causes more stress. Stop hiding from debt and start dealing with it. You will be surprised at how positive you will feel about finally dealing with you debt.

If you can’t deal with the debt alone, then ask for help. By allowing someone to help you deal with the debt, it will take the pressure off of you and relieve the stress you are felling. Now many people are too proud to ask for help, and I am among them, but when the problem is to the point it is affecting the quality of your life, then there is no shame in asking for help.
